ABOUT ME, MY WORK AND PEN AND INK WITH COLOR........

In addition to what was said in the previous bio our thoughts are always open to new ideas for new and exciting subject matter. We research and search for these subjects and when something turns up, mostly on Donna`s suggestion, we start the photographing then decide on the best way to proceed.

It is quite another thing when we go on field trips in search of subject matter. Like the time we  drove through Vermont on a photo trip and ended up on the Jenne Farm and collected photos of "morningchore", "gathering", "prizehen", "oldfriend", "dryingout", "the jennefarm" and "mrjenne" and as you can well imagine it took some time to complete all these pictures.

Another photo trip was to Maine, where after photographing many possibilities we elected to go with the two light houses, Portlandlight and PemaquidPoint. At the time we were busy on the farm pictures, so it took a long time to get to the lighthouses. I am happy I finally did because Portlandlight became a dedication to my sister in law, Alice (Palmquist) Lauranzano, who had recently passed on. The dedication was made at a personal show of my work at the Beverly Public Library`s Barrett Gallery on May 14, 2005, where the original rendering of Portlandlight was presented to her family, in her memory.

Then there is our trip to Italy, or more specifically to the Reggio di Calabria, up into the Sila Mountains, to the Comune di Verzino, where my father was born and bred. We had a wonderful visit with all our relatives but we also had a photo shoot for good solid subject matter. My favorite was "the lady" and also the place where my father first saw the light of day. The birth place is also completed but isn`t shown in the gallery, I am sort of keeping it within my own family. There are other subjects like the local church and the town hall and another golden age woman that claimed she knew my father and remembered the day he walked down the mountain, on his way to the USA. These pictures are yet to be worked on because we are so busy on other things.

Copies of my work are priced at $150 each ( 11x14 ) and $250 each (16x20 ). All pictures are professionally framed and ready for display. The quantity of copies is usually limited to four only unless a picture becomes popular entity and more are required. Above sizes are frame sizes.
